We're off this afternoon to visit with our friends and their bwaker chickens and to watch the World Cup England vs. USA game :)

This reminded me a bit of a visit to the grandmother of a friend of mine who had a very rustic tiny little house somewhere in the mountains of New Hampshire. My friend and I were there in August and it snowed. No heat except for the stove, water pump in the kitchen and she cooked a delicious breakfast for us on a wood-burning stove. Vaguely remember simple, austere, but snug furnishings. No memory of how I got there or what we were doing there.
