winter coats

Yesterday my Mom and I had a chat and the subject of winter coats came up.  We both are really into coats, and the new shapes for this fall/winter are really fresh and a bit more avant-garde than usual.  We especially like the slouchier fits and rich colours.

Mom was saying how she would like to take a needle and thread to some of the more deconstructed designs, but was lacking for any really good fabric stores in our rural American location.  Hopefully she can find some in our more urban counterparts.

I have the opposite problem.  There are lots of good fabric stores in London, but I don't have any sewing materials over here besides a small sewing kit that is mainly used for repairing holes....

Here are a few coats I found for fall that I think are really nice.

COS £199, Wallis £75, Paul & Joe Sister £290

Dries Van Noten £720, Marni £765, Mulberry £695

River Island £65, Tara Jarmon £312, See by Chloe £385
