1950s Lunchtime

I thought this was very cute, I especially liked how you needed to comb your hair before lunch :)

What good manners! You don't want to be Mr. Bungle!

Hey, this is the post WWII American dream! Though I don't remember everything being quite as formal, it looks a lot like my elementary school in Pittsburg. Please note that the teacher was 'Miss' - no married teachers were allowed in the classroom unless they were widows. Also note how most of the children folded their hands on the desk - this plus feet on the floor was firmly enforced at all times in my school. The line leaving the lunch room was much to disorderly - we would have been marched out in strict single file or a double row of boys and girls holding hands. Wouldn't go back for anything !
